La ansiedad social en los adolescentes: las principales situaciones temidas y las diferencias en género y edad

Abstract

La presente investigación La presente investigación trata de estudiar los niveles de ansiedad social en los adolescentes de la provincia de Jaén. Investigando cuales son las situaciones más frecuentes de ansiedad social y las diferencias que existen de género y edad. Para poder llevar a cabo la investigación se administró el Inventario de Ansiedad y Fobia Social (SPAI-B) y la Escala para ansiedad social para adolescentes (SA-SA) a una muestra de 1501 jóvenes en institutos públicos de Jaén. Respecto al género, los datos afirman que la ansiedad es más frecuente en mujeres, y las edades donde más se produce ansiedad se sitúa en el rango de los 14 a los 16 años. Los resultados apoyan que hablar en público es la situación que produce más ansiedad social, siendo además la ansiedad de hablar en público más temida en mujeres que en hombres.

This research attempts to study the levels of social anxiety in adolescents of the province of Jaen. Investigating which are the most frequent situations of social anxiety and the differences of gender and age. To carry out the investigation Inventory Social Phobia and Anxiety (SPAI -B) and Social Anxiety Scale for Adolescents (SA -SA) to a sample of 1501 young people in public institutions administered Jaen. Regarding gender, data say that anxiety is more common in women, and ages more anxiety occurs where it is in the range of 14 to 16 years. The results support that public speaking is the situation that produces more social anxiety, anxiety and is also the most feared speaking in public in women than in men.
