Abstract

[ES] El estrés laboral, conocido como una respuesta física o emocional a un daño causado cuando las exigencias propias del trabajo superan las capacidades y expectativas de un individuo, afecta, a más de la mitad de la población española, provocando enfermedades tanto físicas como mentales. Por ello, este estudio pretende conocer este concepto, los empleos más estresantes y, si existen diferencias en cuanto al género y la edad. Para hallar respuesta se llevó a cabo una revisión bibliográfica, utilizando para ello las bases de datos: Psycinfo, Dialnet y Google Académico. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron la presencia de este fenómeno en todas las organizaciones, pero a pesar de ello, algunas poseían características que las hacían más vulnerables. Con respecto al género y la edad, el género femenino es más sensible a sufrir niveles superiores de estrés al igual, que los individuos con la edad comprendida entre los 35 y 44 años.

[EN] Work stress, known as a physical or emotional response to damage caused when the demands of work exceed the capabilities and expectations of an individual, affects more than half of the active population, causing both physical and mental illnesses. Therefore, this study aims to understand this concept, the most stressful jobs and, if there are differences in terms of gender and age. To find an answer, a bibliographic review was carried out, using the databases: Psycinfo, Dialnet and Google Academic. The results obtained showed the presence of this phenomenon in all organizations, but despite this, some had characteristics that made them more vulnerable. With respect to gender and age, the female gender is more sensitive to suffer higher levels of stress as well as individuals with the age between 35 and 44 years.
