ECONOMÍA Y JUEGOS:LA COOPERACIÓN EMPRESARIAL COMO ESTRATEGIA DE CRECIMIENTO

Abstract

[ES] Las decisiones que tomamos de manera habitual pueden ser estudiadas por la Teoría de Juegos como herramienta de la economía para entender situaciones de nuestra vida diaria. Este campo de investigación ha evolucionado a lo largo de los años a la vez que surgían nuevas realidades sociales y se producía una globalización del sistema económico. Como consecuencia, las organizaciones, para luchar por mantenerse en un mercado cada vez más competitivo, acuden a nuevas estrategias de crecimiento tales como las cooperaciones empresariales. Las ventajas derivadas de éstas son numerosas, pero también pueden entrañan ciertos riesgos que se deberán estudiar con anterioridad al establecimiento de tales acuerdos. Actualmente, la unión de pequeños y medianos comerciantes para luchar frente a nuevas realidades es un ejemplo práctico de acuerdo estratégico de donde extraer interesantes conclusiones. Éste es el tema fundamental del presente trabajo.

[EN] Decisions we usually make could be studied by “Game Theory” as an economic tool for understanding situations of our daily life. This research field has evolved during the years at the same time that new social realities emerged and a globalization of the economic system was occurring. As a consequence, the organizations tend to develop new growth strategies such as the business cooperation to fight for keeping in an increasingly competitive market. The advantages arising from that strategy development are countless, but it also can lead to some risks that must be studied before the establishment of one. Nowadays, the union of small and medium-size entrepreneurs with the purpose to fight against new realities is a practical example of a strategic agreement from which to draw interesting conclusions. This is the main topic of this work.
