| Abstract: | El presente estudio muestra la compleja situación diacrónica y sincrónica del español en
Estados Unidos como lengua difundida a nivel social, político y económico. Igualmente, ofrece
información y reflexión sobre la planificación y política lingüísticas estadounidenses y se ponen
de manifiesto los prejuicios lingüísticos de algunos estadounidenses frente al español hablado
en su país. This study shows the difficult diachronic and synchronic situation of Spanish in the United States as a defunded language at the social, political and economic level. It also, offers a deep knowledge about US linguistic planification and policy as well as it reveals the linguistic prejudices of some US citizens about the Spanish language spoken in their country. |
