(ES) Este trabajo analiza la figura de Hesíodo a través de sus dos obras más importantes, la
Teogonía y los Trabajos y los Días, sus influencias y el Certamen que tuvo el aedo con Homero.
Se ha analizado la importancia del subgénero de la épica didáctica como vehículo transmisor de
la sociedad en la que vivió el poeta y los valores éticos y sociales que imperaban en ella. Además,
se ha realizado un estudio sobre sus obras menores que, aunque hay dudas sobre su
autenticidad, tienen un gran interés por su contenido y por su variedad en la temática.
(EN) This work analyzes the figure of Hesiod through his two most important works, the Theogony and the Works and the Days, his influences and the Contest that the bard had with Homer. The importance of the didactic epic subgenre has been analyzed as a vehicle for transmitting the society in which the poet lived and the ethical and social values that prevailed in it. In addition, a study has been carried out on his minor works that, although there are doubts about their authenticity, are of great interest due to their content and their variety of themes.
