Inteligencia Emocional y Bienestar Psicológico: Una revisión del estado actual.

Abstract

La inteligencia emocional (IE) es un constructo de gran relevancia para distintas áreas de la psicología, Según los padres del concepto Mayer y Salovey (1997), se define, como la capacidad para valorar y expresar las emociones con exactitud; la capacidad para acceder y generar sentimientos que faciliten el pensamiento; la capacidad para entender la emoción y el conocimiento emocional; la capacidad para regular las emociones y promover el crecimiento emocional e intelectual. El objetivo del presente trabajo ha sido realizar una revisión del estado actual de la relación entre Inteligencia Emocional (IE) y el Bienestar Psicológico (BP). Teniendo en cuenta los diferentes modelos conceptuales y medidas de IE, se han desarrollado diversos estudios sobre esta temática. Estas investigaciones no son concluyentes; por lo que hay una necesidad de seguir investigando. Futuras líneas de investigación y limitaciones de los estudios son desarrolladas en esta memoria.

Emotional intelligence (EI) it is a construct of great relevance to different areas of psychology, According to Mayer and Salovey parent concept (1997), is defined as the ability to assess and express emotions accurately; the ability to access and generate feelings when they facilitate thought; the ability to understand emotion and emotional knowledge; the capacity to regulate emotions and promote emotional and intellectual growth (Mayer and Salovey, 1997). The aim of this study was to perform a review of the current state of the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI) and the Psychological Welfare (BP). It has since been numerous investigations into the role of IE on different components of BP due to the use of different conceptual models and IE measures. These investigations are inconclusive; so there is a need for further research. Future research and limitations of the studies are developed in this report.
