Fiesta del Inti Raymi en Madrid: El Patrimonio Inmaterial de Inmigrantes

Abstract

[ES] Con ocasión del solsticio de invierno, algunas comunidades indígenas de la región de los Andes realizan la fiesta del Inti Raymi, fiesta del Sol en quechua. Se trata de una fiesta milenaria de agradecimiento que marca el inicio del año. En Ecuador, la celebración sobrevivió a las represiones coloniales y a las fuerzas hegemónicas y, actualmente, es una expresión cultural en diferentes regiones del globo a donde migran sus nacionales, incluida España. El objetivo de nuestra investigación es dar a conocer esta celebración en la ciudad de Madrid, analizando sus actores, actos y elementos, y entender su papel en la cohesión social de la población de origen ecuatoriano en España.

[EN] On the winter solstice, some indigenous communities from the Andes region celebrate the Inti Raymi festival, the Quechua sun festival. It is a millennial celebration of gratitude that marks the beginning of the year. In Ecuador, the celebration survived colonial repression and hegemonic forces and it is now a cultural expression in different regions of the globe where its nationals migrate, even in Spain. The objective of the investigation is to let know this celebration in the city of Madrid, analyzing its actors, acts and elements, and understand their role in the social cohesion of the population of Ecuadorian origin in Spain
