La mujer en el mundo laboral a través del cine

Abstract

[ES]El cine, normalmente, es un reflejo de la sociedad en la que surge. En ese marco, aborda diferentes aspectos que incluyen el mercado laboral desde distintos puntos de vista. La mirada de la realizadora Icíar Bollaín, en cuyas películas la mujer tiene un papel fundamental, nos sirve para abordar este campo desde una perspectiva de género; en muchas de sus películas encontramos importantes conexiones con la realidad que viven muchas mujeres actualmente a través de temas como la conciliación entre trabajo y familia, la violencia de género, la búsqueda de una vida digna e independiente, etc. Eso sin olvidar el contexto político y social, con un país en crisis económica en el que las mujeres se enfrentan al desafío de mantener o conseguir un puesto de trabajo que puedan conciliar con su vida personal y familiar. En este trabajo, se utiliza el cine como herramienta didáctica para poder comprender mejor el ámbito laboral al que pertenece la mujer y en el cual se desenvuelve.

[EN]Cinema is usually the mirror that reflects a society. In this respect, it deals with diverse social aspects, including the labour market from different points of view. The fundamental role played by women in Icíar Bollaín’s films show a clear perspective of this field in terms of gender through the look of the Spanish producer. In many of her films, we find significant connections with the reality that many women live nowadays, through subjects like reconciliation of work and family life, gender violence, the search of a decent independent life, etc. We cannot forget to mention the political and social context: a country in the middle of an economical crisis where women face the challenge of maintaining or finding a job that reconciles their personal and family life. In this work, cinema is used as an educational tool to help us better understand women’s labour field and the circumstances that being a working woman implies.
