Los Concordatos entre la Santa Sede y el Estado Español: Historia y actualidad

Abstract

[ES]La presencia de la asignatura de religión en los centros educativos públicos, las exenciones fiscales de la Iglesia Católica, la elección del profesorado de dicha asignatura por parte del Obispado ha suscitado miles de disputas desde la aprobación de los últimos Acuerdos de 1976 y 1979 al igual que su constitucionalidad. Pero estas disputas no surgen solo a partir de estos acuerdos, pues estas situaciones se instauraron en España años atrás a través de otros concordatos. Haremos un recorrido a través de los concordatos más importantes (1753, 1851, 1953, 1976 y 1979) de la historia entre la Santa Sede y el Estado Español para ver cómo han ido cambiando las relaciones entre ambas instituciones y ver el motivo por el cual se han configurado de esa manera los actuales Acuerdos.

[EN]The presence of the subject of religion in the public schools, the tax exemptions of Catholic Church, the election of the faculty of this subject by the Bishopric has created many arguments since the endorsement of the last agreements of 1976 and 1979 just as its constitutionality. However these arguments did not appeared in that moment because were established years earlier in Spain through other concordats. We are going to take a tour through the most important concordats (1753, 1851, 1953, 1976 y 1979) of history between Holy See and Spanish State to see how the relations between both institutions have changed and to know why the current agreements have been shaped in this way.
