DESARROLLO HISTÓRICO DEL BBVA E IMPORTANCIA DE SU PRESENCIA EN LOS MERCADOS EMERGENTES LATINOAMERCANOS

Abstract

[ES] En este Trabajo de Fin de Grado realizamos un análisis histórico de la evolución de la ciencia contable y su importancia en la actividad económica del sector bancario, a partir del estudio del caso: la entidad financiera BBVA, surgida de la fusión, en el año 2000, de entidades financieras españolas con una gran historial y relevancia, tanto en los mercados nacionales como en los mercados internacionales, especialmente en los países emergentes latinoamericanos donde han venido teniendo presencia. Es por ello que la contribución recíproca que se está produciendo, dada su presencia en estos países, está ayudando tanto al crecimiento del PIB de estos países, como a presentar unos adecuados resultados positivos en las cuentas de explotación del Banco, pues la situación económica de los países europeos donde el BBVA viene teniendo presencia no está generando los resultados positivos que tradicionalmente habían aportado al beneficio consolidado del Grupo.

[EN] In this final year dissertation we carry out an historical analysis of the science of accounting and its importance in the economic activity in the banking sector, using the following case study: the financial entity BBVA, formed after the merger, in the year 2000, of Spanish financial entities of great history and relevance, both in the national and international markets, especially in the emerging countries in Latin-America where they have been present. It is therefore that the mutual contribution that is being made, given its presence in those countries, is stimulating both the GNP growth of those countries, and the presentation of adequate positive results in the operating statements of the Bank, since the economic situation in the European countries where BBVA is present, prevents the generation of the traditionally positive results to the consolidated profit of the Group.
