LA ARQUEOLOGÍA EN SANTA POTENCIANA COMO RECURSO TURÍSTICO EN VILLANUEVA DE LA REINA.

Abstract

[ES] Este trabajo habla sobre el Yacimiento Arqueológico de Santa Potenciana situado en Villanueva de la Reina, Jaén. Lleva excavándose desde 2012 y durante estos años se han datado dos zonas, una romana y otra medieval-islámica. Se están centrando más en época romana.

Para saber más sobre la época medieval-islámica, se habla sobre la Arqueología Sacralizada, por la relación del yacimiento con la patrona del pueblo. Existen más casos en la provincia de Jaén. Y de la época romana, se ha hecho un estudio sobre la Vía Augusta y las mansiones romanas cercanas.

Por último, se ha propuesto una ruta de arqueoturismo por la provincia de Jaén, incluyendo, el yacimiento de Villanueva y otros lugares de interés que siguen una misma temática relacionada con la época ibero-romana. De esta forma se podría sacar más partido al turismo, ya que es lo que está buscando el ayuntamiento.

[EN] This work speaks about the Archaeological Site of Santa Potenciana placed in Villanueva de la Reina, Jaen. Is being excavated from 2012 and during these years two zones have been dated, a Roman and other one Medieval-Islamic. They are centering more in the Roman epoch.

To know more about the Medieval-Islamic epoch, that speaks of “Sacralizada” Archaeology, for the relationship between the site and the patron saint of the village. Some other cases exists in the province of Jaen. And of the Roman epoch, some studies has been done on the August Route and the nearby Roman mansions.

Finally, one archeoturism route has been proposed for the province of Jaen, including, Villanueva’s site and other places of interest that follow the same subject matter related to the epoch Iberian-Roman. Of this form it might extract more divided to the tourism, because it is what is looking for the town hall.
