REINSERCIÓN SOCIO-LABORAL: PROGRAMA DE INTERVENCIÓN ASISTIDA CON ANIMALES

Abstract

[ES] l presente estudio tiene como objeto realizar un programa piloto de Intervención Asistida con Animales en el Ámbito Penitenciario, como complemento a otros programas específicos de tratamiento destinados a favorecer el desarrollo positivo de los internos. Los objetivos principales de este programa serán, por un lado, lograr la reinserción social bilateral de reclusos y perros y, por otro lado, lograr la reinserción laboral de los reclusos. El programa estará compuesto de diez sesiones en las que se trabajará fundamentalmente las habilidades sociales y el entrenamiento de perros de refugio. Para realizar el programa se necesitarán seis internos con carencias afectivas y bajo autoestima, con el fin de minimizar las consecuencias derivadas de la privación de libertad. El fin último del proyecto será obtener un beneficio tanto para los seres humanos como para los animales.

[EN] This study aim is to carry out a pilot program of Assisted Intervention with Animals in the Penitentiary Area, as a complement to other specific treatment programs destined to favour the positive inmates’ progress. The main objectives of this program will be, on the one land, to achieve social reintegration for both inmates and dogs and, on the other hand, the employment reintegration for inmates. In this way, their integration into prison populations can be justified. The program will consist of ten sessions in which social skills and the training of shelter dogs will be fundamentally treated. To develop the program, six inmates with affective deficiencies and low self-esteem will be needed, in order to minimize the consequences of the freedom privation. The ultimate objective of the project will be to benefit both humans and animals.
