HUMOT: Humor y Motivación en el aula

Abstract

[ES] Actualmente la educación causa gran preocupación en España. A pesar de que no paran de realizarse cambios en el sistema educativo los malos resultados siguen apareciendo durante un curso tras otro. El fracaso escolar y el abandono escolar temprano siguen siendo demasiado elevados en comparación con los datos de otros países de la Unión Europea. No sólo los alumnos no están motivados, sino que muchas veces los docentes no saben como aumentar esa motivación. HUMOT es una propuesta de intervención para mejorar la motivación del alumnado de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria y la función motivadora del cuerpo docente de educación secundaria. La fundamentación teórica de este programa está cimentada desde un marco teórico basado en la Psicología Positiva. El enfoque bajo el que se sustenta este programa es la mejora de una fortaleza psicológica muy relacionada con la motivación y el aprendizaje en varios estudios y publicaciones: el sentido del humor. HUMOT está diseñado para enseñar a utilizar a los docentes el humor en el aula, consiguiendo por un lado aumentar su función motivadora y por otro, aumentar la motivación del alumnado. El aumento de motivación del alumnado influirá en el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje descendiendo los porcentajes de fracaso escolar y abandono escolar temprano.

[EN] At present education is a great concern in Spain. Although there are still changes in the education system, poor results continue appearing one year after another. Dropout and early school leaving rates are still too high compared to data from other European Union countries. Not only students are not properly motivated, but teachers do not often know how to increase that motivation. HUMOT is a intervention proposal to improve the motivation of the students of Compulsory Secondary Education and the motivating function of the secondary education faculty. The theoretical foundation of this program is based in the Positive Psychology framework. The approach which the program works under is the improvement of a strength closely related to motivation and learning in several publications: the sense of humour. HUMOT is designed to teach the use of humour in the classroom, on the one hand increasing their motivating function and on the other, increasing student motivation. Increased student motivation will influence the teaching-learning process by lowering the percentages of school failure and early school drop-out.
